Bostik gets a makeover

Published:  26 November, 2013

Adhesive specialist Bostik has unveiled a new visual identity today as part of its ongoing growth strategy.

The tagline ‘Smart Adhesives’ reflects the company’s aim to develop intelligent and innovative adhesive solutions, while the logo now features a gecko, renowned for its remarkable bonding abilities which allow it to cling to almost any surface.

“The new logo reflects who we are,” said Bernard Pinatel, Bostik’s chairman and chief executive officer. “We have been developing innovative adhesive solutions for more than a century. We know how to make smart adhesives – functional products that can do a lot more than just stick things together.

“The Bostik name will become synonymous with smart adhesives. We apply innovative adhesive technology to address pressing economic, ecological and demographic issues, and our advances in material science will contribute to a more sustainable world.”

Mathew Whitehouse, head of marketing, added: “Our new brand identity helps strengthen our position. The Evo-Stik brand will continue unaffected, while in due course Cementone and Idenden products will be brought under the Bostik umbrella brand.”
