City & Guilds appoints new UK managing director

City & Guilds has appointed Kirstie Donnelly as its new UK managing director.

Formerly the director of product development and learning technologies at City & Guilds, Ms Donnelly will now lead the arm of the group which partners with further education colleges and training providers in the UK.

Speaking about the appointment, Chris Jones, CEO and director general, City & Guilds, said: “Creating this new UK managing director role brings together our innovative, top-quality product and service design teams with our dedicated customer service, sales and support teams under clear leadership. Ultimately this is all about providing an even better customer experience.

“Kirstie’s enthusiasm, leadership, proven success and passion for the learning and skills sector puts her in an excellent position to lead our UK business.”

Ms Donnelly said: “The role of further education in the UK is perhaps more important than ever. Through working in partnership with our customers, we play a critical role in helping individuals and employers gain the skills they need to fuel economic prosperity in the UK.”
