Offering informative staff training days in addition to products from its ever-expanding admixtures, landscaping, wood floor bonding and adhesives ranges, Sika is working closely with Leekes Building Centre to build knowledge and increase sales.
Stocking Sika’s full range of mortar admixtures, levelling compounds, tile adhesives, wood flooring materials as well as pressure sensitive vinyl and carpet adhesives at its Coventry, Pontyclun, Llantrisant, Cross Hands and Melksham branches, Leekes Building Centre is expanding its ranges to help provide greater choice to its customers.
Darren Lovell, assistant buyer from Leekes was keen to get Sika on board: “Being a trusted supplier of CEMCO, we were sure that Sika was the right choice for us. The company offers an unrivalled product range and its technical knowledge and understanding of the industry is second to none.
“We were eager to undertake training sessions to ensure our staff could get to grips with the new ranges as quickly as possible – not only does this help us to advise customers as to the most suitable product, but also ensures that we can physically demonstrate how and where they can be used too,” he said.
Mr Lovell continued: “Since we started stocking the Sika ranges, we’ve noticed a remarkable level of interest in Sika Mix Plus – a general purpose liquid plasticiser and improver for use with brick and blockwork mortars, as well as Sika Ceram Stone and Porcelain Tile Adhesive. We’re excited to see how this will progress moving forward.”
Mick Hooper, key account manager from Sika conducted the training days. He said: “Our team worked very closely with all Leekes Building Centre branches to ensure they were familiar with the products – as ultimately, this is what will help them to make that all important sale. We received very positive feedback from everyone involved and are sure that the Sika ranges will be well received by the tradesman too.”
