Suppliers boost BMF membership

Published:  16 September, 2013

In its drive to represent the building materials supply industry, the Builders Merchants Federation (BMF) is gaining support from manufacturers as well as merchants, with three new supplier members joining already this month.

The Federation has seen an annual 21% rise in overall membership, with a 15% increase in supplier members since April.

BMF managing director, John Newcomb said: “The companies that supply builders’ merchants are a core part of our membership, but one that has been under-represented in recent years. If we are to achieve our aim to be the authoritative voice of the whole merchant industry, the BMF has to attract the widest range of both merchant and supplier members.”

Mr Newcomb continued: “Our newest members supply very different product categories, reflecting both the breadth and depth of our growing membership, and the universal appeal of the services we are introducing.”

The new supplier members include:

  • Fabdec
  • Carlton Brick
  • Gastite
