Stephen King, TTF president and SCA Timber Supply commercial director, recently took part in the Prudential RideLondon 100 cycling event, raising money for Mind, the charity nominated by the Simpson family in memory of SCA’s former managing director, who died last year.

Mr King, riding with the 20,000-strong amateur cyclists’ group, finished the 100 mile course, including Box Hill and Leith Hill, in just under seven hours, passing London Mayor Boris Johnson who had problems in Cobham.

This is Mr King’s fifth sportive 100-mile event, comprising three UK events and two attempts at Sweden’s Vattenrundan. His RideLondon cycle has so far raised over £900 for Mind, and donations are still welcome at: http://www.justgiving.com/Stephen-King9.
