Published:  05 August, 2013

The Institute of Builders Merchants (IoBM) will be holding a Practical Building Skills Challenge Event at Cambridge Regional College on Tuesday 29 October, 2013.

The event for teams of four will include activities within a set timescale to demonstrate skills in:

  • Carpentry
  • Brickwork
  • Paving
  • Painting
  • Simple electrics.

Attendees could potentially benefit from increased product knowledge, enhanced confidence with customers and improved sales and service capabilities, gained through practical experience of using some of the products they sell on a daily basis.

Prizes will be awarded for the best build and all attendees will be awarded a free one-year student membership of the IoBM. The cost for the day – including lunch – will be £300 per team of four.

Register your interest in entering a team by emailing Gill Sellick at admin@iobm.co.uk or telephoning 01767 650662 for further information.
