Non-executive director appointment

Travis Perkins has appointed Christopher Rogers as a non-executive director with effect from 1 September.

Mr Rogers is a chartered accountant and currently the managing director of Costa Coffee, part of Whitbread, of which he was group finance director from 2005 to 2012. He was group finance director of Woolworth Group from 2001 to 2005 and previously held senior roles in both finance and commercial functions in Comet Group and Kingfisher. He was also a non-executive director of HMV Group from 2006 to 2012.

Robert Walker, chairman of Travis Perkins, said: "We are delighted to secure the appointment of Christopher Rogers as a director. The range of skills on our board will be greatly enhanced by his strong general management and financial background coupled with his experience in a number of operational roles. We look forward to his contribution to the future development of our Group."
