Integrated Services to provide a stores management facility for Warmer Energy Services

Published:  12 July, 2013

Warmer Energy Services has appointed supply chain and procurement specialist Integrated Services – a division of Wolseley UK – to provide a dedicated stores management facility at the company’s head office in Liverpool.

Warmer Energy Services has established itself as a supplier of gas central heating services to customers in north west England since being founded in 1994. Following a move into the renewable energy market and a period of significant growth, the company decided to consolidate its supply chain. It realised that optimal cost, time and service efficiencies could be achieved by rationalising the number of suppliers used.

The answer was a dedicated onsite stores facility managed by Integrated Services. Wolseley UK has been a supplier of choice to Warmer Energy Services for a number of years, and the facility is the next phase in the two companies’ growing relationship. Launching a dedicated service via the Integrated Services division will deliver smarter procurement and supply chain efficiencies to the company as business opportunities continue to increase.

The new partnership will also enable Integrated Services to support the company’s ongoing retrofit schemes, which include commercial and domestic gas central heating services, renewable technologies and insulation works for external walls, cavity walls and lofts.

Steve Selfe, head of sales operations – north at Integrated Services, said: “We are delighted to have been selected to provide a dedicated stores management facility for Warmer Energy Services. The service we deliver is tailored to meet individual requirements, by identifying the most effective supply route for an organisation’s business to guarantee the availability of products as and when required. Through streamlining its supply chain, Warmer Energy Services will make considerable cost and time savings, minimising office administration, optimising economies of scale and reducing the number of deliveries needed.

“As part of the service, we aim to provide constant recommendations and share best practice. Our collaborative partnership with Warmer Energy Services means we solve problems together, helping to improve their operations and drive business forward.”

Matthew Thomas, commercial director at Warmer Energy Services, added: “We have worked closely with the senior management team at Wolseley UK for a number of years, establishing a close and proactive relationship. Having used a mix of the Wolseley UK and other merchant branch networks previously, the significant growth we have experienced over the past 18 months meant we required a more sophisticated, streamlined facility at our head office in Liverpool.

“A single source supply solution is ideal for Warmer Energy Services’ needs, allowing us to deliver against our clients’ expectations. Rather than having to procure items individually, we can rely on Integrated Services to procure products on time, at the best available cost, and ensure they are available when needed. We look forward to further strengthening our relationship with Integrated Services through this new venture.”
