The Rainy Day Trust is hosting a charity event at the British Army Parachute Association training centre in Wiltshire later this year.

On Sunday 22 September, people are being given the chance to jump with a qualified instructor from an aeroplane at about 14,000 ft, experiencing a 50-second 120 mph freefall before the tandem parachute is deployed. This is followed by a 5-minute canopy ride.

This will be the third time the Rainy Day Trust has held the event, which has raised almost £28,000 over the last two years. “All we ask for is lots of courage and sponsorship to cover the cost of the jump/donation,” the charity said. “Why not tick one off the list and get involved? You’ll be helping people from our industry.

“We can guarantee you a memory that will stay with you for life!”

The Rainy Day Trust helps all those who have worked in the UK’s home improvement and enhancement industry to provide support through unexpected and unpredictable events, such as ill health and financial uncertainty.
