CBA moves forward

Published:  10 June, 2013

Following the recent departure of a number of CBA companies to join Cemco, the CBA buying group is set to continue, according to remaining members AW Lumb, Beesley and Fildes, James Burrell, John A Stephens, Robert Price, and Tippers.

The refreshed group will focus on the purchasing of core building, timber, hardware and civil engineering products. Members share a common goal: to deliver a more efficient and effective route to market for suppliers, built upon strong relationships and commitment.

All members are key regional merchants with turnover in excess of £20m. The group has a flat structure with a lack of bureaucracy, aimed to keep suppliers close to the key decision-makers within the members’ businesses.

CBA is keen to moving forward with like-minded suppliers and new members. All correspondence or enquiries should be sent to Steve Richardson of James Burrell at
