Two senior members of staff at Kent Blaxill have clocked up 25 years of service.

Simon Blaxill, managing director, and Neil Currell, glass department contracts manager, joined the company in 1988. Mr Blaxill presented Mr Currell with a cheque to mark the achievement.

Mr Blaxill, who is from the sixth generation of the company’s founding families, became managing director in 1989, taking over from his father Christopher Blaxill. During his time at the helm he has opened a new branch at Braintree and launched Global Stone, a wholesale company which imports natural stone for landscaping from around the world.

Mr Currell joined Kent Blaxill as a trainee glazier, soon becoming fully qualified. After 12 years he became a surveyor and six years later was appointed as the contracts manager.
