JCB celebrates millionth machine

Published:  03 May, 2013

JCB is celebrating the production of its one-millionth machine.

This milestone is being marked in grand style with the whole of the glass frontage of JCB’s Rocester head office and factory encased in a giant graphic.

The millionth machine – a 22 tonne JS220 tracked excavator painted not in the famous yellow but in silver – is on display.

Sir Anthony Bamford, chairman of JCB, said: “It’s taken JCB more than 67 years to produce its millionth machine. Incredibly, one third of those machines has been produced in the last six years.”

Dealers and customers will join celebrations in the next five weeks.
