Barratt and Boot plan £75m housing for York

Published:  18 April, 2013

Henry Boot and Barratt’s development arm David Wilson Homes is to buy the former Terry’s chocolate factory site in York.

Planning permission has already been granted for construction of a business park, two hotels, 400 townhouses and flats under a scheme put together by previous owner Grantside Developments.

The new owners of the sprawling 27-acre site hope to start building the first 270 houses later this year. Much of the site was cleared a few years ago in preparations for this scheme.
