Staff at Jewson in Skegness spent nine hours in the saddle raising funds in aid of Barnardo’s, its supported charity for the year.

Branch manager and keen cyclist Amanda Ball raised £176 for the charity after riding an exercise bike continually from 8am to 5pm, with colleagues taking over during her well-earned rest breaks.

Assistant manager Nick Walton said: “She was absolutely exhausted. Barnardo’s is a fantastic charity, which we were all delighted to be able to support.”

A landscaping day was held in conjunction with the event, with suppliers in landscaping, fencing and block paving attending to show their support.
