Superglass Insulation has received the award for Insulation & Plasterboard Supplier of the Year from the Cemco Merchant Network at its recent heavyside and timber supplier awards dinner.

Superglass was up against some stiff competition with other nominees including Siniat, Ballytherm and YBS. In order to be named Insulation & Plasterboard Supplier of the Year, Superglass demonstrated it is a supplier that has fully embraced the Cemco way of working and therefore met the criteria of outstanding service quality, product and sales development, good relations with Cemco members and quality of contact. The members of Cemco recognised Superglass’ continuous hard work in a difficult marketplace and subsequently voted the company as the winner.

The awards dinner, which was hosted by The Apprentice star Nick Hewer, was part of the Cemco Heavyside Conference which celebrates suppliers’ successes while providing an opportunity for the industry to come together and ‘meet the merchant’.

On collection of the award, Andrew Macdonnell, Superglass specification manager for the Midlands, said: “This is a great win for Superglass and we are honoured to be named Insulation & Plasterboard Supplier of the Year for 2012. This award is testament to our ongoing commitment in providing merchants with the insulation products they need and we continue to work closely with our customers in order to meet the regulatory demands and cost efficiencies required in today’s marketplace.”

Allan During, sales and marketing director at Superglass, explained the significance of the award for the company: “This award further emphasises Superglass’ overall strategic approach in providing a ‘differential’ for merchants and housebuilders while offering real value-added opportunities. This is all part of Superglass’ transformational investment programme, Project Phoenix, where the installation of new fiberising technology has enabled us to meet the increasing demands of the marketplace in terms of competitive pricing, product quality and specification. We are pleased that the industry has recognised Superglass and we look forward to strengthening these important relationships with the sector.”
