Covers Timber & Builders Merchants presented local tradesmen with Valentine's prizes.

Tradesmen receive some love thanks to builders merchant

Published:  13 March, 2013

Local tradesmen were shown some love by the Tunbridge Wells branch of Covers Timber & Builders Merchants during their Valentine’s trade day, by being given the chance to win some romantic prizes.

The top prize – a spa day for two – was won by Michael Freeman. Other winners from the local community included George Springate, Tom Watters, Dan Patience and Steve Satchell.

From 7.30am until 5pm, suppliers were at the depot with special offers to tempt the customers. Covers also had some offers of their own throughout the day and those who attended were treated to a free burger and a hot drink.

Simon Vyvyan, commercial manager at Covers, said: “Since we acquired the site last August, we have had a great response from the local community. This day was all about saying thank you to our many loyal customers for their support. As the branch stocks the largest range of timber in the area, it was also the perfect chance to showcase the products that are available within our depot.”
