JOSB Done, the industry campaign promoting the use of OSB, is going on a tour of Britain’s merchants to encourage builders to ‘get on board’ by taking part in a football shoot-out competition.
Visiting locations across the country over the coming months, JOSB Done will be holding merchant mornings where builders will be quizzed about their knowledge of OSB before having the chance to take six shots at a sheet of OSB to see how high they can score, with three holes of different sizes making the task tricky. A national scoreboard will be created and the person with the highest score towards the end of the year will win £1,000 worth of tools.
Everyone who takes part will receive an OSB ‘Tough B***d’ t-shirt, bag and a free breakfast courtesy of the JOSB Done team. Some merchants are also planning a special promotion on OSB panels sold on the day to further support the event.
JOSB Done is now in its eighth year championing the far-reaching benefits of OSB, supported by leading manufacturers Norbord and SmartPly, resin supplier Huntsman and the Wood Panel Industry Federation (WPIF).
The Points On The Board merchant tour is just one of the exciting activities planned, as JOSB Done has also launched its search for the OSB Apprentice of the Year 2013. This competition for budding builders began last year and received a great response from those who were keen to show off their creativity when it comes to working with OSB.
