WEST SUSSEX: Newlife is supplying B&Q with a white emulsion paint to be trialled under the retailer's Home Eco brand.
The label runs across several product types to give consumers a 'greener' alternative. The new paints are being trialled in four stores with further roll-out anticipated as the project develops.
The paint is manufactured from waste emulsion and sold in containers that contain 25% post-industrial content. This is said to be about the maximum possible recycled content for this type of container.
Newlife Paints, founded in 2008, collects waste emulsion paint and re-manufactures it to produce commercial grade paint.
