LONDON: Zip, a market leader in instant boiling water systems, is bucking the trend of the economic downturn, having recently reported consistent growth year on year with firm plans for future expansion in 2011.

Having designed and manufactured the first ever instant boiling water system to be sold in the UK, Australian-based Zip started its UK operation in 1991 and has continued to invest in the business to maintain and extend its market leading position ever since.

As a measure of its commitment to setting industry standards for sales specification support, service response times and excellent first time fix rates, Zip has also significantly increased its sales and customer service teams over the past 18 months.

With a team of 35 sales managers covering the country and over 28 service engineers directly employed by the company, Zip now has the largest sales and service teams focusing solely on boiling water, chilled water and commercial water heating products.

Marketing too has entered a new phase, with Zip embarking upon its biggest ever consumer advertising campaign in 2010, including regular front-page Daily Telegraph adverts, to further build the brand and promote its flagship product for domestic and commercial installations - the Zip HydroTap.
