OLDHAM: Wickes is sponsoring Roughyeds rugby league team with new pre-match warm-up tops for the promotion-seeking Roughyeds players carrying the company title.
The club also gets special deals on materials needed for the refurbishment of the Roughyeds' new home at Whitebank Stadium.
Lee Ashworth, Wickes manager said: "We were impressed by the way Roughyeds tackled their Whitebank project. I've been down there a couple of times to see the work that is being done.
"It's a new venture for the club, as it was for us when we moved across town from Ellen Street to open our new store here a few months ago.
"We were keen to get involved with the community and we are looking forward to an ongoing relationship with Roughyeds which I feel sure will be of mutual benefit."
Rachael Marsters, Roughyeds' commercial manager said: "The company has helped us in many ways over the past two-and-a-half months and we are delighted to announce that the partnership will continue, cemented by the new deal incorporating sponsorship of our warm-up tops."
