LONDON: Anand Punja has been appointed as the Timber Trade Federation's (TTF) new sustainability executive.

Mr Punja has in-depth industry knowledge and joins the TTF having most recently worked for Jones Lang LaSalle.

Previously he worked as a senior sustainability consultant, focused on sustainable construction, where he gained extensive knowledge in his role developing and implementing numerous sustainability services. Prior to that, he has worked for ECOTEC Research and Consulting Ltd and worked as a researcher for the Institute of Development Studies (IDS) Environment Group.

In his new role, Mr Punja will be working directly with Rachel Butler, TTF head of sustainability, on the TTF's Responsible Purchasing Policy and issues surrounding legal and sustainable timber, providing broad policy advice and implementation across a full range of CSR issues impacting the wood industry and construction supply chains.
