LONDON: New housing minister Grant Shapps has been warmly received by the industry he has previously shadowed since 2007.
Among those welcoming him were the National Housing Federation (NHF), the Town and Country Planning Association (TCPA) and the UK Green Building Council (UK-GBC).
NHF chief executive David Orr said: "Mr Shapps has demonstrated an expert knowledge of the challenges faced by our sector and understands the need to incentivise local communities to accept the building of new homes in their area."
