LONDON: Two open days are to be held by Saint-Gobain at its newly-redeveloped Innovation Centre …

in Docklands on 18 and 19 June.

The aim is to provide architects, specifiers and contractors with an opportinity to view the latest products and solutions from the company's range.

Two open sessions will take place each day from 10am 12 noon and from 2pm to 4pm.

Technical experts from a number of Saint-Gobain's UK businesses, including British Gypsum, Weber, Saint-Gobain Glass and Saint-Gobain PAM, will be on hand to answer product queries and the sessions will also feature live demonstrations and mobile showrooms.

Visitors will be able to see the Weber Live demonstration of external wall insulation application, as well as a presentation on the latest modern technology for ductile iron pressure pipes from Saint-Gobain PAM UK.

The Solatruck from Saint-Gobain Glass, featuring an extendable structural glass pod and simulated curtain walling, and British Gypsum's trailer, combining dry wall systems with practical demonstrations, will also be on show.

“London’s 2012 Olympic Games and the Thames Gateway regeneration programme provide an opportunity, not only to make a major and lasting contribution to improving the sustainability of London and beyond, but also for pushing the boundaries of design and architecture,” Shalini Patel, manager of the Innovation Centre, commented.

“The Centre provides an insight into how our products and services can contribute directly towards a cleaner, more sustainable way of life, while setting new standards for performance.

"With ongoing developments and changes to legislation it can be difficult for our customers to keep track of the best products and solutions to meet their needs.

“The open days will equip visitors with the knowledge they need to make more sustainable choices."
