On 31 August, the ten members of staff from Coomers took part in the Nuts Challenge: a 7km, 100+ obstacle course with lots of water, mud, and plenty of laughs.

The team, calling themselves the “Nuts & Bolts”, took on the challenge in support of Coomers' charity of the year, SUDEP Action.

SUDEP stands for Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy. There are at least 21 epilepsy-related deaths each week in the UK, most of which are potentially preventable.

Stacey Patrickson, the Company's Credit Controller who organised the day, commented: "It was a great experience and a huge pleasure to do it with the best people. We topped the day off with a meal as by then we were ready to eat an entire house! Every minute we had out there on the course was incredible. The teamwork and the fun. Being able to raise money for such a worthwhile charity was so important to us as well."

Team "Nuts & Bolts" raised over £1,400 for the charity. Over double the number of staff have already signed up to do it all over again in 2020.
