The Opportunity 

Due to continued success, the business is now looking to expand its successful operation in Cambridgeshire with the appointment of a Technical Sales Coordinator.

Reporting to the Internal Sales Manager, you will be required to assist with all internal sales functions of the Company as an active and core member of the sales division.


Working as part of a small, dedicated team you will be undertaking the following duties;


  • Dealing with incoming telephone sales & technical enquiries

  • Production of sales quotations & chasing these through to sale

  • Telephone sales – including cold calling

  • Support to external Sales team 

  • Liaison with Stores Person to ensure stock levels & order requirements

  • Checking computer stock levels for potential sale orders

  • Placing of stock requirement orders with suppliers

  • Recording in-coming stock

  • Verification of invoices before postage

  • Ensuring Credit limits are not exceeded at time of sale 

  • Front trade-sales desk

  • Order updates & tracking

  • Stock management updates and tracking


Person Specification

In order to be successful in this role, you will need to be a confident sales professional with experience in working in a fast paced sales environment.

In addition, the following skills, qualifications and experience will be required;

  • Construction back-ground 

  • Business growth mentality

  • 3 – 5 years previous experience in a technical sales environment Previously worked in a Merchant industry, preferably with mesh/reinforcement/accessories/ construction chemicals 

  • Engineering background 

  • 5 GCSE passes (grade C/5) or equivalent.  To include Math & English Language

  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills

  • Excellent telephone manner

  • To support & liaise internally with colleagues & external agencies

  • Dealing with customers, telephone & face-to-face, trade counter

  • Team focused
