The Company

Our client is an industry-leading established business supplying a range of brick, cladding, timber and masonry products and offsite solutions. They operate from over a dozen regional locations across the UK and through a network of specialists provide innovative products, expert advice and service to timber merchants, clients, architects, developers and contractors.

The Role

As a result of further development our client is looking for an additional team member to train in sales of façade products to architects, developers and contractors. The successful candidate will undergo a training programme that will equip them for a successful and rewarding progressive career within this industry leading business.

Responsibilities

· Be proactive to develop relationships with customers and suppliers.

· Embrace and promote the company’s culture and values.

· Promptly respond to supplier and customer requests in conjunction with the relevant sales colleague.

· Prepare and send out quotes to customers as requested to agreed deadlines.

· Order and deliver samples as and when required.

· Ensure that the sample room/showroom is tidy, organised and stocked.

· Use systems provided to source information for external sales team.

· Provide administrative support to the external sales team and any other duty deemed by the directors to be in the interest of the team achieving its objectives.

· Provide updates for the website on ‘case study’ projects.

· Proactive marketing support including organising databases for mail-shot activities.

· Achieve target income for promotion to Sales Executive within two years.

· Proactively embrace training development on sales and product knowledge.

Key Requirements

Essential

· Proactive nature with regard to day-to-day work and seeking commercial opportunities.

· Must enjoy and be able to communicate effectively.

· Ability to work as an individual and as part of a team.

· A confident and determined approach.

· A high degree of self-motivation, drive, resilience and the ability to cope with rejection.

· Good ability in Windows PC environment including Outlook, Word and PowerPoint.

Desirable

§ Full clean driving licence.

§ Experience in customer facing role.
