New role boosts customer support for W. Howard Group

W.Howard Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Adrian McLean in the newly created role of Estimating & Costings Manager.

McLean has more than 30 years’ experience in the timber trade, starting in the industry as a trainee before taking on roles including Assistant Sales Manager, Assistant Branch Manager and Sales Representative.

More recently, he managed the joinery department at Arnold Laver’s Manchester branch, which involved maintaining stock levels and ensuring excellent customer service at all times.

As Estimating & Costings Manager, McLean will be based at the W.Howard Group’s head office in Astley, Greater Manchester. He will be responsible for growing sales in the Estimating Department, assisting customers with their enquiries and working closely with the Production Department and the existing team to create customer quotations.

McLean said: “I am delighted to be joining a market-leading business such as the W.Howard Group, and to be bringing my skills to this exciting new role.”

Speaking about the new role, Group Commercial Director Simon Fleet said: “Adrian joined us in April and is already having a really positive impact on our customers. We created the new role to further strengthen our customer support, ensuring that we can provide accurate quotes for any job, no matter the size.”

The Group is enjoying a period of continued growth and expansion, having recently invested in a new warehouse facility, launched a new core product range, and installed a new production line at its Polyco factory in Wales.
