The Company

Our niche sector client supplies steel, copper and zinc standing seam metal roofing materials and accessories to a growing market within the built environment where architects seek to utilise a traditional standing seam metal envelope to achieve aesthetically pleasing luxurious yet highly durable and practical surface.

The Role

Working as part of a small, enthusiastic team both from their London offices and their home base, the National Sales Manager will be tasked with targeting new business, building deeper relationships with existing clients and contributing to the successful achievement of sales objectives, by developing and delivering sales strategies to support the overall business goals.

Main Responsibilities

· Finding and developing specification-led business opportunities by prospecting new business and through existing client relationships.

· Keeping detailed and up to date sales record of existing and future sales opportunities

· Follow up of leads involving the complete purchase chain of architects, clients, metal roof installers and main contractors.

· Working closely with the company Managing Director to establish the business sales needs, prepare strategies, and provide regular sales reports.

· Representing the company and the products sold at industry events and to professional bodies

· Present to and consult with the Managing Director on business trends with a view to developing new services, products, and distribution channels.

· Understanding technical systems and interpreting architectural drawings and concepts to technically assist specifiers, main contractors and metal roof installers.

· Promote the company and brand image in a professional confident manner

Skills and Experience

· Ability to create and manage specifications from early stage through to order fulfilment.

· Able to demonstrate relationship building across all disciplines.

· Knowledge/understanding of the roofing design plans and CAD systems, preferably the standing seam metal sector.

· Ability to work as a pro-active team player with a positive attitude.

· At least 5 years building envelope product sector sales experience

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Ability to listen patiently and focus on technical details and requirements.

· Ability to impart relevant technical information accurately.
