A new Jewson branch is set to be built in Cheltenham, which could create 15 jobs in the area.

Planners have given their approval for a vacant industrial unit on Kingsditch Trading Estate to be demolished. The unit’s former use was manufacturing steam products.

Saint Gobain Building Distribution, the parent company of Jewson, had submitted the application back in October 2018.

The proposal includes the “formation of sales counter, ancillary offices and warehouse” plus “2.4m high palisade fencing and gates”. The proposed number of employees is 15.
