A masterclass in cooking, craft beer tasting and a trade-themed pub quiz are just some of the perks on offer at Jewson Live 2018.

The free builders’ merchant show takes place on 13 December at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham, with more than 180 exhibitors attending.

Speakers at the event will include footballer-turned-sports-pundit Chris Kamara, the Jewson Building Better Communities Trade Hero for 2017, Addam Smith, and representatives from construction industry mental health charity Mates in Mind.

Those looking to brush up on their cooking skills will have the chance to learn a thing or two from celebrity chef Peter Sidwell, who will be doing a live demonstration.

The nation’s trade knowledge will be tested with a quiz in the show’s first ‘pub’, The Builders Arms, and talkSPORT’s Alan Brazil will also be at the show hosting a debate on all things sport.

Prizes including a JCB digger, a weekend in Munich for Oktoberfest and a trip to of Ibiza will also be on offer.

Thierry Dufour, Managing Director of Jewson, said: “Jewson Live is the go-to event for those working in the construction industry.

“Year on year, we up the ante to make sure it’s a show that everyone can make the most of, whether you want to learn more about the latest products or enjoy our speakers and entertainment.”
