Due to continued success and increasing demand for their high quality products, our Client have decided to expand their business with the appointment of an Internal Sales Negotiator at their successful branch in Essex.

The company has multiple branches in the UK, but you will be part of a small team based at their operation in Essex, primarily dealing with contractors, house builders, civil engineers and ground workers.

The Individual

Essentially, you will need to be comfortable working within a small team in a fast paced sales environment. You will also need to be willing to learn and have a passion for working towards goals and being rewarded for hard work.

Previous experience in a construction or Builders’ Merchant environment will be advantageous but not essential as our Client offers full product training.

Since you’ll be communicating with customers electronically as well as face to face, an excellent telephone manner and proficiency in English will be required.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Reporting directly to the branch manager, you will be part of a dedicated team committed to the branch sales efforts. The role will be extremely diverse and could involve working on the Trade Counter one day and in the sales office the next. You might even be required to lend a helping hand in the Yard.

Primarily, the role will be focused around selling a wide range of building materials and developing lasting relationships with current and prospective customers.

The main duties of the role will be as follows;

· Ordering materials and negotiating prices

· Generating sales leads

· Responding to a wide range of queries from customers

· Proactively looking to increase branch turnover and profit

· Assisting on the trade counter

· Assisting in the yard when needed

Job Details

· 40 hours per week - 8.00am-5.00pm Monday to Friday

· 28 days annual holiday entitlement

· Company auto-enrolment pension scheme

· Private Medical Care (after 12 months continued service)

· Very competitive basic salary (negotiable dependant on experience)
