BRISTOL: Lafarge Plasterboard has appointed Adrian Forbes as sales and commercial manager. He will be responsible for heading the company's wester region sales team.
Mr Forbes has a wealth of experience in the construction industry, having held sales positions at companies such as the Quinn Group, Knauf Insulation, SIG and Travis Perkins where his roles have included key account management and merchant relationship management.
In addition, he also set up a specialist insulation and fire protection consultancy and distribution business.
Commenting on his new role, Mr Forbes said he was looking forward to working closely with customers in what looks to be a more positive year for the industry.
“2009 was extremely challenging for the construction industry, however it is important that the industry retains a positive outlook for 2010 and beyond. We will now be looking to continue partnerships with our customer to ensure that they receive the maximum value from their relationship with Lafarge, tapping into all our expertise and technical know-how,” Mr Forbes said.
