Are you a professional sales executive with experience in selling to building contractors and distributors? If so, we are retained by a leading manufacturer of Civil Engineering products who, due to expansion, are seeking to recruit an INTERNAL SALES EXECUTIVE to join their successful team in LEICESTERSHIRE.

The Role

As an Internal Sales Executive, you will be an integral part of the future growth of the department and will be responsible for selling to and building relationships with our Client’s customers, primarily Builders Merchants. They are looking for an individual who is driven by sales and achieving targets, determined and commercially aware coupled with an understanding of technical sales within the civils/Construction sector and a real passion for developing customer relationships. You must be able to work independently and also as a team.

Key Responsibilities

· Understand our Client’s business plan and philosophy.

· Achieve personal and department targets.

· Provide basic technical assistance and recommendations when required, utilising the engineering department where appropriate.

· Assist with the implementation of department sales and marketing strategies.

· Produce a monthly department sales report.

· Able to provide a 3 monthly forecast

· Maintain and update A-Cloud system.

· Develop new and existing targeted accounts.

· Actively embrace the Company’s Customer Care Policy.

· Provide quotations from customer enquiries.

· Maintain and increase the conversion rate of quotations to orders.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required

· Minimum 2 years’ selling to contractors through Builders Merchants stockists, experience preferably gained within civils/construction materials supply sector

· Experienced in customer relations

· Able to communicate at all levels

· Experienced in defending specification

· Computer Literate with good keyboard skills

· Self motivated
