Customers buying concrete from Anderton Concrete wait just two or three days for their delivery to arrive.

This is in stark comparison with deliveries of timber, which can take up to two months, according to research from the Federation of Master Builders. Deliveries of brick can take more than a year.

But Anderton Concrete, part of Ibstock Plc, has a far shorter delivery time which it credits to its “strategic growth plan”.

The company only takes on new customers if it is satisfied it can maintain continuity of supply for them.

Shaun Forrester, Sales Director at Anderton Concrete, said: “It is well known that there are longer waiting times for popular building products. We are bucking this trend and are continuing to deliver to our customers within two or three days of their order being placed.

“We are expecting a strong third quarter for sales and with this in mind we are advising our customers to plan ahead to ensure orders and deliveries are met efficiently.”
