A new £6 million Battle of Britain heritage site in London contains paving from Charcon.

The interactive visitor attraction is attached to a bomb shelter from WW2. It tells the story of the secret plot by the RAF to defeat the German air force in 1940.

Around its perimeter and on its step units is Andover Textured Paving by landscaping manufacturer Charcon, a division of Aggregate Industries.

The centre was built to celebrate the heritage of Hillingdon in Greater London, and was recently unveiled by Boris Johnson, MP for Uxbridge & South Ruislip, along with Cllr Carol Melvin, Mayor of Hillingdon.

Martin Mullan, Territory Sales Manager at Charcon, said: “We are so pleased to have been able to offer our knowledge and product proficiency to a project of national, and even international, significance.

“Charcon is delighted to be supporting the London Borough of Hillingdon by providing a positive visitor experience that will ensure the heritage of the site lives on.”
