A penalty shoot-out has raised £389.73 for Children’s Hospice South West.

RGB Building Supplies hosted the event at its Wiveliscombe branch in Somerset.

Customers and employees paid £1 for the chance to score against the builders’ merchant’s mascot, Archie Bee, who was in goal. Those that beat Archie Bee were entered into a prize draw with the winner receiving a new LED TV.

Children’s Hospice South West is RGB’s chosen charity. It provides care for children with life-limiting conditions and their families across the South West.

Kevin Fenlon, CEO at RGB, said: “The penalty shoot-out was great fun and, although Archie Bee’s performance wasn’t quite up to the standard of Jordan Pickford, he did save a fair few shots!

“We’d like to thank all our customers who took part for helping us to raise funds for Children’s Hospice South West.”
