Bull Products is helping to protect construction workers at a redevelopment site in London where the 2012 Olympics took place.

Its Cygnus wireless fire alarms are being used in a project to turn part of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in Stratford into a new commercial, residential, retail and community area.

More than 70 of the alarms, as well as control panel and units to connect them with other fire and turnstile gate entry systems, will be on site until 2025 while the International Quarter London is being built.

The Cygnus radio fire alarm system has been designed to be used on construction sites, and will enable workers to be quickly evacuated if it is activated by triggering door releases and deactivating turnstiles.

Sales Director Matthew Trigwell said: “There are several elements to this project including the development of a 20-storey office space, therefore it’s crucial that the site has a flexible alarm system in place to protect workers during all of the construction phases.

“To be a part of such a large-scale development in London is a huge achievement for Bull and we’re excited to see the alarm systems in place as the project develops.”
