H&B has announced that North Wales builders' merchant Richard Williams will join the group on 1 May.

Richard Williams currently turns over £12 million from two branches and has plans for further expansion.

Nigel Stewart, who is a director of Richard Williams along with his brother Rob, said: "We are really excited to be joining H&B. The group's ethos and approach really attracted us. When we considered joining we asked our current supplier base for feedback and we were amazed with the excellent reaction."

Nick Lander, managing director of H&B, added: "Nigel and Rob are such a great fit for H&B, as directors of a business with huge tradition and massive potential. We are looking forward to supporting their growth in the years to come."

H&B merchant group was founded 20 years ago. It has grown to more than 74 members and a combined turnover of almost £1 billion.
