Are you seeking a role which involves pioneering new business with a high quality product in a division of a well established and highly regarded UK manufacturer?

For over half a century, our Client has been manufacturing high quality products for sewerage, drainage and plumbing applications. Due to continued success, they are now seeking to recruit an Area Sales Manager to join their team in the North of England.

The Individual

Our Client is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic sales professional to identify and develop new business opportunities within the UK for their products. The ideal candidate will have experience of promoting products within the Building Industry, more specifically within the drainage and civils market.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

· Building and developing relationships with contractors and Civils Merchants

· Maintain and develop existing and new customers through planned individual support, both technically and commercially

• Calling on existing and potential customers three days a week

• Two days per week will be office based to prepare and follow up calls

• Manage product mix, pricing and margins according to company policy

• Maintain and develop a computerised customer and prospect database

• Launch and presentation of new products

Person Specification

· Understanding of Building Industry routines

· Substantial experience in sales and track of external sales experience

• Team player with excellent customer service skills

• Organized and communicative at all levels

• Computer literate on Microsoft Windows, Word & Excel

· Able to work independently and on their own initiative and to organise and make product presentations to customers as required.

· Ability to work to deadlines and understand the need to meet targets.

· Able to research, recognise and progress project opportunities

· Clean driving licence.

Training

All necessary training in relevant aspects of our Client’s business will be provided
