UK: From January-September, imports of softwood were down 20.3%, compared with a year ago, according to figures released by the Timber Trade Federation.
All timber imports were 24% down on last year.
Of all the UK softwood imports during the period, Sweden's market share increased to 55%, followed by Finland at 12%, Latvia at 10%, Germany at 6% and Ireland at 5%.
