Heating products manufacturer Fabdec is looking to Scotland for growth, following the appointment of Peter Ferguson as technical sales agent.

Mr Ferguson has more than 30 years of experience within the heating and plumbing industry, and will be working across Scotland to develop the Fabdec brand with installers, distributors and merchants.

Fabdec, which is based in Ellesmere, Shropshire, has identified Scotland as a key area for growth within its water heating divison.

Mr Ferguson, from Stirlingshire, has worked across the UK in a variety of ownership and senior roles with companies including Infrarad and Trianco.

Commenting on his new role, Mr Ferguson, said: “Fabdec is a strong brand, but I believe there is real opportunity for growth in the Scottish heating and plumbing market, particularly for Fabdec’s wide range of unvented water cylinders. The products are first class and there is huge potential across residential, commercial and industrial sectors.”

Chris Powell, managing director of Fabdec, added: “Peter has great expertise and a wealth of contacts in Scotland and we are excited to have him on board. We have seen increasing sales in our water heating division in England and Wales over the past 18 months, and we see Scotland as a natural next step for long-term growth.”
