JP Corry has been shortlisted for a Responsible Business Award in Northern Ireland.

Shortlisted in the Building Stronger Communities Award category sponsored by Department for Communities, JP Corry has demonstrated a positive impact on communities through investing its time, resources and expertise to tackle disadvantage.

JP Corry’s managing director, Ciaran Mc Connell, said: ““At JP Corry we believe a strong community spirit is embedded in our culture and we’re very proud to be recognised as a positive force in our local communities. There’s a strong commitment across our branch network to engage with local groups to ultimately build stronger, sustainable communities.

“We welcome opportunities that make a difference and contribute to the social and economic benefits of our local areas.

“Our current partnership with Barnardo’s NI focuses specifically on young people who have spent their life in care, with the primary focus of developing work placements, apprenticeships and mentoring programmes to help young people prepare for the work environment. I’m looking forward to developing this in the coming year.”

Winners will be announced at a gala awards dinner at Belfast Waterfront Hall on 1 June.
