Champion Timber’s Edenbridge branch was delighted to donate plywood to support an event that aimed to inspire local youngsters to follow their dreams.

The first ever Youth Fest took place at HOUSE, which is located in the town’s Eden Centre, on 8 April, and the plywood from Champion Timber was used to encourage young people to get creative during graffiti art workshops.

The day also included performances from local musicians, DJs, rappers, and sports stars, who talked to the youngsters about the paths they took to succeed in their chosen careers.

Cheryl Banks, Youth Fest organiser, said: “Thank you to Champion Timber for supporting Youth Fest with the donation of plywood and helping to make the event a success – the graffiti art workshop was extremely popular with everyone that attended.”

Kevin Herod, branch manager at Champion Edenbridge, added: “As a community focused company we’re always keen to support projects local to our branches and we were delighted to donate sheets of plywood to Youth Fest.”
