Buttle's has been identified by the Financial Times as one of Europe's fastest-growing companies.

The company has been included in the FT 1000: the 1000 companies in Europe that have achieved the highest percentage growth in revenues between 2012 and 2015.

Through research in company databases and other public sources, the FT identified tens of thousands of independent companies in Europe as potential candidates for the FT 1000 ranking. To be included in the list of Europe's fastest growing companies, a company had to demonstrate primarily organic revenue growth between 2012 and 2015.

Last year, Buttle's was included in the FT's "1,000 Companies to Inspire Britain", featuring UK-based companies with turnover of between £6m and £250m which had most outperformed the average growth in their sector.

William Naylor, managing director of Buttle's, said: "For the second year running, our growth has been reported by the Financial Times. This trend continued in 2016, which wasn't included in the report, and hasn't let up during the first quarter of 2017.

"With Brexit on the horizon, we're proud to be flying the flag in Europe as the only UK builders' merchant to be included in the report."
