Knauf Insulation has announced the appointment of Jean-Claude Carlin as Group chief executive officer (CEO), effective 1 February, 2017.

Mr Carlin is a key member of the Knauf Group leadership team having led the Knauf Industries business as Group CEO since 2009. He replaces Mr Thies Knauf.

Commenting on Mr Carlin’s appointment Mr Thies Knauf said: “I am delighted to be handing over the reins to Mr Carlin. He brings a great mix of leadership and operational experience to Knauf Insulation.”

Reflecting on his appointment, Mr Carlin said: “I am honored to have been selected for this role and eager to start a new experience in the Knauf Group’s family of businesses.

Knauf Insulation has also announced the establishment of an executive committee that will define and implement the Group’s strategy and manage its operations worldwide. Mr Carlin will be joined on the executive committee by David Ducarme, appointed as group chief operating officer and deputy CEO, and Mr Jens Nilsson, group chief financial officer.
