Baxi Heating has strengthened its merchant sales support across its commercial brands with the appointment of a dedicated key account manager for merchant partners.

David Green, former UK and Ireland distribution sales manager at Alfa Laval, joins the team in the newly-created role of key account manager to provide a single, dedicated point of contact for Baxi Heating brands Andrews Water Heaters, Potterton Commercial and Remeha.

Mr Green brings to the role extensive experience of the HVAC distribution chain, having established relationships with some of the UK’s largest heating and plumbing distributors across a number of business areas, including head office, sales and logistics.

Prior to this, Mr Green held the role of national contracts manager for a distributor of compressed air and process filtration products for a number of years, giving him useful insight into the needs of the other side of the chain. He plans to use this understanding to create a unified approach to merchant services across the three brands, acting as the first point of contact for all enquiries.

Mr Green commented: “From my previous roles I already have strong relationships with key distributors and a deep understanding of their needs. I plan to use this knowledge to create a more cohesive support offering for Andrews Water Heaters, Potterton Commercial and Remeha and drive the businesses forward.”

Neville Small, business development director at Potterton Commercial, said: “Maintaining strong relationships with customers is central to our success, which is why we created this dedicated role which provides merchants with quick and easy access to our products and services.

“I would like to welcome David to the team and I’m confident his extensive experience of the gas industry will allow him to further develop our offering in this area”
