National Buying Group (NBG) has further expanded its merchant partner membership with the addition of Bathroom & Plumbing Superstore to its ranks.

Bathroom & Plumbing Superstore, which includes the division Plumbwell, has five branches across Surrey and Kent.

NBG has strict membership criteria, only accepting independent merchants with a proven financial track record and a commitment to growth, service, quality and innovation.

Bathroom & Plumbing Superstore fits these principles perfectly with ambitious growth plans, more than 30 years successful trading, and strong expertise in the plumbing and heating sectors.

“We are very pleased to welcome Bathroom & Plumbing Superstore into the NBG community,” said Nick Oates, managing director of NBG. “We believe that NBG is the most progressive buying group in the merchant sector and that is reflected in the fact that we are attracting and recruiting merchants like Bathroom & Plumbing Superstore who are serious about growing, developing and diversifying their businesses.”

Bathroom & Plumbing Superstore’s Tony Milbery has already seen benefits from joining NBG. He said: “We have been members of buying groups in the past but we believe that NBG is a step up in terms of professionalism and innovation. We are very much looking to progress our business and we believe that NBG’s professionalism will help us achieve that.”

As well as benefitting from better buying power, Bathroom & Plumbing Superstore’s management team sees other advantages. “We very much want to be part of a wider merchanting community, sharing best practice and having greater clout within the industry,” Mr Milbery concluded.
