Keyline has partnered with the Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route/Balmedie to Tipperty (AWPR/B-T) Construction Joint Venture as new works contractor and Aberdeen Roads as principal contractor to supply drainage and heavy building materials throughout the construction phase of the AWPR/B-T, a new bypass for the north east of Scotland. Work on the AWPR/B-T started last year and the project is planned to open to traffic by winter 2017.

Over the duration of the project, Keyline will supply over 4km of CPM concrete pipe, 250km of Polypipe plastic drainage, enough Marshalls Linear Drainage to drain an area 10 times the size of Hampden Park and enough catchpits and concrete chambers to fill three full size football pitches. Keyline will also supply geotextiles, manhole covers and other civils products to assist the construction of the 58km road.

Graham Christie, deputy project director for the AWPR/B-T Construction Joint Venture, said: “The AWPR/B-T is one of the most exciting and impressive projects currently under construction within the UK. We chose to work alongside Keyline due to the company’s proficiency in sourcing and efficiently delivering the most appropriate solutions for specialist developments of any kind.”
