Players from Exeter Chiefs were the VIP guests at the official opening of RGB Building Supplies’ new Okehampton branch on 20 October.

Local tradespeople and members of the community were invited to join Chiefs’ back-row Kai Horstmann, prop Carl Rimmer, and former player Chris Bentley as they took part in the ribbon cutting ceremony, and helped serve customers.

Industry suppliers including Grant UK, Makita, Keylite, Maincor and Polypipe demonstrated products and all customers who spent over £25 on the day were entered into a prize draw to win a signed Exeter Chiefs shirt.

RGB Building Supplies have been operating in Okehampton with a plumbing and heating branch for a number of years. However, relocating to the larger site on North Road has enabled the company to significantly increase its product range. Knowledgeable RGB staff will now be able to offer a wide choice of timber, decorating and landscaping products, alongside the already established plumbing and heating business.

Paul Lethbridge, branch manager at RGB Okehampton, said: “We have seen our trade and retail customer base in Okehampton increase rapidly, so this new site has enabled us to grow our product offering to meet the customer demand. It was a pleasure to welcome Kai, Carl and Chris to the official launch and we thank them for joining us. We now look forward to welcoming new and existing customers through the door.”

The new Okehampton branch is located at 66 North Road, Okehampton, Devon, EX20 1BQ.
