Keyline opens new division to support HS2

Published:  14 October, 2016

Keyline has opened a new rail and geotechnics division in Leeds. This investment will reportedly deliver increased accessibility and support to those contractors who will be working on the upcoming High Speed Two (HS2) project.

The new office, located on the Cross Green Industrial Estate, is the third divisional rail office behind Northfleet and Glasgow. The company says this move enables them to offer localised market knowledge that will enhance customer service for rail sector customers in both central and northern England.

The Leeds department will also ensure that Keyline is in the best position to support contractors who will be working towards the delivery of the HS2 project, which is expected to get underway next year. The scheme, estimated to be costing in the region of £50bn, will link London, Birmingham, the East Midlands, Leeds, Sheffield and Manchester.

Richard Wade, head of the rail and geotechnical division at Keyline, said: “This new office will further enhance the service we already provide to our dedicated customers across the UK. HS2 is one of the most ambitious projects of our generation and therefore we wanted to strengthen our network and resources in order to offer world-class support to any contractors who will be working on this scheme.”
